The three of us headed to Russ, Kristy and Josie’s on Monday night to take them dinner.  Noah and I met Josie when she was a day old and it’s crazy how quickly newborns change.  She is just so beautiful and sweet.  We had a great time visiting with them.

While we were visiting we talked about how much babies grow in their first year.  Noah is almost exactly a year older than Josie (361 days to be exact) and it is incredible how different they are.  Little Josie might have given me a little baby bug itch!  Did I just say that out loud?!?

We headed down to Cocoa Beach for work/vacation last week.  David was leading worship for the high school at First Baptist Snellville.  It was a great camp.  My mom and David’s parents also came down for the week, so it made it that much better.  Noah loved sitting by the ocean and letting the waves splash on him.  After I uploaded my pictures, I realized that I didn’t take any pictures of him on the beach, so I will get some from my mom and post them later.  Here are some other pictures from our trip.

As I said before, it was great having 3 out of the 4 grandparents on the trip (My dad was in Singapore on a business trip).  They are all so great, and Noah was so glad to have them there.

One night Noah wore a nice Hawaiian shirt and we all thought he reminded us of his Uncle Gary.  Such a stud.

We attempted a family shot.  That is definitely getting more difficult these days!

Hello all! I don’t know if anyone has checked in on our blog, but we are at the beach this week. I will post some pictures when we get back.  Have a great week!

Noah’s official birthday fell on Father’s Day this year.  Last year, he was two days old on Father’s Day, so I was definitely off the hook with a present for David!  We had a great day!  Noah got a special pancake breakfast (an idea I stole from Erin-thanks friend!).

Then we headed to Sake Gura (the dads’ choice) for lunch.  We had a great lunch, but Noah wasn’t quite sure about our cook.  But once he tasted the food, he was satisfied.

I was thankful to be able to spend Father’s Day with my dad.  He is so selfless and supportive.  I have the best dad in the world!  I love you dad!

I can’t believe how fast Noah’s first year of life has gone.  He has taught me more about myself than I could have imagined.  He continues to amaze me every single day.  It gives me a small glimpse of how much Jesus loves me.  Happy Birthday little guy!

What a great pic! (Thanks Chris!)

David made me a collage of some of the folks that were able to make it to Noah’s party.  Thanks again for celebrating with us!

Noah had a wonderful birthday party.  Thanks to everyone who was able to come and celebrate with us.  We are so blessed to have such great friends and family.  Noah was perfect all day.  I am so proud to be his mom!

We did a baseball theme for his party.  I was definitely proud of the cake.  I made it myself!

He totally took advantage of the opportunity to eat.  I think he would have finished the entire cake if I would have let him.

Of course he started out nice and clean.

And then, he got messy!

He tried to sit still for presents, but that didn’t work out too well.

He is so great!  What a party!

I threw a small surprise dinner party for my mom and dad’s 35th wedding anniversary.  I was sure I was going to let the secret out, but I held it in, and they were definitely surprised.  I am so thankful for their marriage and commitment to one another.

My nephew Nate was in town last week.  We had a great time playing with him.  Noah really loves following him around.

Noah is getting better at the pool.  Nate enjoyed it too!

Noah played outside with Nate one evening last week.  It was the first time I really saw him as a little boy.  His legs were all banged up and his cheeks were bright red (and he smelled like the outside!)

When Abatha got in town, we had to make our shopping trip.  These boys are troopers.

We love you Nate and Abatha!

Hello all!  We spent last week in Hilton Head with the high schoolers from Church of the Apostles.  It was a great week-they definitely do camp differently than I’ve ever experienced.  It was super laid back which was so great for us because it was like we were on a family vacation while hanging out with some fun people.  Noah didn’t love the beach and pool at first, but warmed up to it after the first day.

Noah liked to play in the sand but didn’t love the ocean too much.

He is such a stud!!

Last weekend, I was able to be a part of my friends Darika and Jim’s wedding.  Here is a shot of the bridesmaids.  Fun times.
