Hello all!  I apologize for those of you who actually check this and see that I haven’t been posting as often.  It’s not that I don’t have plenty to blog about, but with David being gone most of the time, entertaining the little guy is definitely time consuming.  For an update on the move, our house has not sold yet-yuck.  We are really asking the Lord to sell it by the end of August so we can all be in the same place as a family unit, but as we are definitely learning right now, God’s timing is usually not the same as our own.  David is officially done with camp season!  He had an awesome time leading worship with each set of students, but we are so glad that this season has come to an end.  David has started his job in Seneca, so he will spend Monday through Thursday up there and then head home for the weekends.

If you know of anyone needing a house, send them our way…please!

Little man is an official toddler-he busted his lip this morning, when we were wrestling.  Time goes by so quickly.  I’ll post pictures soon…I hope!

Noah and I have had a great summer and been so blessed to be able to make 3 beach trips.  Our last trip was with my mom to Panama City.  I was definitely hesistant about heading down to Spring Break heaven, but I was pleasantly surprised.  They have really cleaned everything up and added a cool outdoor mall called Pier Park.  Not only was Noah a great little guy at the beach and the pool, but my wonderful mom allowed me a little "me time" while Noah napped, which was so relaxing and very needed.  We had a blast and plan on doing it again next year-and we might invite the guys next time!!!

Noah loved sitting in his chair right at the edge of the water watching the helicopter fly back and forth.

Noah loves his Mimi!

It’s hard to get a good picture these days!

David’s 27th birthday is today!  We were able to hang out with David a little last night before he headed off to camp this morning.  Because our time is so short together with David these days, every minute is so precious.  David, we love you so much and hope you had a wonderful birthday!

He was such a cute little guy.  Can you tell who Noah’s daddy is?!?

It’s crazy to think that David and I were married 3 years ago today.  Unfortunately, because we are in the midst of camp season, we won’t be able to spend the day together. David is at a CentriKid camp in South Georgia and my mom, Noah and I are on our way to the beach.   We have a fun weekend planned in August (the next time we will see each other for longer than 8 hours) to celebrate this special day.

As I have been packing up the house, I ran across some things from the beginning of our relationship, so I thought it would be a great time to reminisce on how we became The Odoms.  As many of you know, I wasn’t really a "dater" before David.  I had a few relationships in high school that are not worth mentioning and went out with a couple guys in college for short stints. People would tell me that I was too picky or that I needed to be more open, but I knew that God had my perfect match out there and I would know when he came along.  Let’s say that David was the exact opposite of me when it came to dating.  He liked to "play the field."  I actually think I would have thought he was a bit of a player if we would have met under different circumstances.

My world was changed when I met David at SuperWow in the summer of 2004.  I had met him a million times before that week (he ironically remembers none of those previous introductions), and I definitely thought he was a looker, but was determined to keep my focus elsewhere as this was the last week of camp.  At lunch one day, David had confessed to our sweet friends Dustin and Erin that he really felt like he was going to meet his wife this summer.  They so graciously pointed out to David that I was single.  All the while, I thought David was WAY out of my league.  After dinner on the last night of camp, David had asked for my phone number.  These types of things didn’t happen to me, so I really TRIED not to think about it all that much!  I wanted him to call so bad I was sick to my stomach.  To quicken up the story, I will leave out some other key details, but just know that God had intricate plans to bring us together.

David called me that next Monday, and our first official date was July 19, 2004 to see I-Robot.  We spent that whole entire week together.  After those seven days, I just knew.  After being faithful to wait on God’s perfect match, He had brought David to me.  I was completely enamored by this man.  I couldn’t be without him (I was a really bad friend at this point in my life-sorry friends!).  We were engaged on November 14, 2004 and married that next July.

David, I love you more than life itself.  I am honored to be your partner in this life.  Thank you for loving Jesus with everything that you have and for wholeheartedly loving me for who I am-flaws and all.  You are my perfect match.

Here are some of our wedding pictures from that glorious day!
Our families made the day so special!

I had the best bridesmaids in the world.

Here are a couple of our favorite bride and groom shots.

Happy Anniversay Honey!

Blogging has definitely been on the back burner the past week.  Our life has been incredibly hectic, so here’s a run down.  If you don’t already know by now, David, Noah and I are moving to Seneca, SC sometime in August.  David accepted a position as one of the worship pastors at Foothills Community Church (Sorry- I don’t know how to link their website yet.  I guess I need to learn how to do that!). We are so excited (and a bit scared) about this new adventure.  We truly believe God has called us to this church and are totally ready to see what He has in store for us there.  He officially started on July 1st, so he has been staying in Seneca with some very gracious hosts, while Noah and I hold down the fort and TRY to get some packing done.

We spent the Fourth with David’s parents and his brother’s family in Warner Robins.  We had a blast.  Noah was trooper considering he was getting over his fourth ear infection.  Their 3 little girls are so much fun.  David just got a new camera, so no pictures of the visit until I figure out how to import them.

To add to the pile, David will be leading at 4 more summer camps, so he will be gone for 3 weeks straight-yuck!  Did I mention that I have to pack up my whole house?  With a one year old at my side?  This should be interesting.  If you happen to think of us, please pray for energy and strength… and that our house sells quickly!  I’ll post some pictures soon!
