Fridays are by far my favorite day of the week.  Because of David’s job, our official "weekend" is Friday and Saturday.  Now that we are living in the same place full-time, it is super fun to just hang out together and have no agenda for the day.  It was beautiful in Seneca on Friday… a sunny 75 outside, so decided to do a little documentary of our day.  I didn’t do a great job of taking pictures by the end of the day, but you’ll get the picture.

Our day started out with some wonderful monkey bread, which is one of our family’s favorites.

Noah enjoys helping with the dishes these days.

Noah loves wearing David’s hats around the house.  He is such a stud!

After we finished watching Ratatouille, we made a picnic lunch and headed to the park.  I haven’t really investigated the parks around the area, but this one did the trick for the moment.  He is getting so much more independent and adventurous… such a little boy!

We finished out our day with a nice long nap and a good home cooked meal.  We are really enjoying these last few weeks while the Odom family is made up of three-then the true chaos begins!

Though David has had his blog for about 6 months, I have been extremely lazy about adding his link to our family blog.  So, after the prompting of friends (Morgan in particular), I finally added it to my blog list.  Check it out when you get a chance.  He’s a funny guy!

Just a quick update-we are all settled in and getting used to our new home.  Noah loves his room and Lucy loves the big yard.  I am learning my way around town (the two main streets…) and enjoying being at church on a consistent basis.  I am definitely out of my comfort zone in this new place…I spend a lot of time talking with Jesus!

It’s funny how different "issues" rise up in you throughout the various phases of your life.  For instance, during high school and college, I definitely struggled with feeling insecure in certain situations.  Once I met David, started working, and became a mom, that feeling didn’t come about as often as it had in the past.  Well, being in a new place has brought it all back to the surface.  I thought I had already conquered this insecurity, right?  Nope, it’s back, that’s for sure!

I must brag on my son for a minute.  Noah absolutely amazes me!  He is learning so rapidly, and it is so awesome to watch his little mind pick up on everything!  For example, he can count to ten and he can sing the ABC song!  This might be normal for a 19-month old, but I am going to bask in the moment anyways. God shows so much of Himself in Noah. It is so cool!
