I finally broke down and got Noah’s haircut.  I kept letting it grow in hopes that it would start to curl up but that didn’t happen, so I decided the wings had to go.  I took him to a kid-friendly place that was equip with a T.V. and a steering wheel.  He looks like a little boy now!

The Odoms have been going non-stop the past couple of weeks and since summer camps are upon us, we won’t slow down for a couple of months. It’s a great time of year for us. David loves to lead worship for youth camps, and he also loves to travel, so he gets to do both for about 9 weeks. Before our busyness began, we were able to celebrate Seleta’s birthday with her family. I was thinking back and I think I have been around for 11 of her birthdays starting with her surprise party in 6th grade (or was it 7th?). Regardless she is my BFF and I love spending time with her.

Then, we headed to South Carolina where David lead worship for a church on Sunday. Late Sunday night, we went to Nashville to spend a couple days with David’s family where celebrated David’s cousin, Preston’s, graduation from high school.

Here is the four generations of Odoms and Noah with his Grammy and Poppy.

The Hunts have a great pool in their backyard. David was determined to let Noah swim, but is was a wee bit cold, so we had to improvise. Here is Noah in his cool bathing suit.

Noah liked to float on a float on the water. None of the pictures are staged…we promise!

This is Preston-the reason for our visit! Congratulations on your graduation. (He’s the one with the beard.)

Stay tuned for pictures of Noah’s first haircut. It will be my next blog!

I have a great post waiting in the Draft section because something is going on with the way I upload pictures into my post. If anyone else is having this trouble and knows how to fix the problem, please let me know.

Okay-I am going to try this again! We went to Stride Rite yesterday and got Noah’s first pair of tennis shoes. They are too cute. He definitely is officially a walker. I really need gates!! Again, I apologize for my horrible commentary.

I have definitely learned to "let go" of certain things now that I have Noah.  David might do some things a little differently than I may do them, but I am just learning to be thankful for the help.  If you know me at all, this has not been an easy task for me to grasp. Today was a perfect example of this.  Noah and David had lunch with Russ.  I had set out everything for David to take with him-his food, his juice, a bib, and his clothes.  When Noah got up from his afternoon nap (after lunch), this is what he was wearing…

Yes, he was still in his pajamas!  David tried to make up a quick story about changing him back into his pj’s after lunch, but I knew what had happened.  I just couldn’t help but laugh.  I love dads-especially Noah’s!

I had a great first Mother’s Day.  My day started off with a beautiful poem from Noah.  Then, after church, Noah treated me to a wonderful lunch at Chiptole.  Then, my mom and I headed for a pedicure while the men did some yard work.  For dinner, David and my dad made us a delicious dinner and then we headed for dessert at Cold Stone.  It was topped off with a gift from Noah-a beautiful book full of pictures of Noah and I over the past year.

*David, you made my first Mother’s Day incredible!

My mom is the best in the world.

Noah switches back and forth between his smiles.  I love being his mom.  Yes, I know his hair is getting a little out-of-control.  We have an appointment to get it cut next week!

The Odom family has had a crazy schedule this past week.  David played in golf tournament with his family this weekend in Darlington, SC.  Noah and I spent time at the doctor’s office, at Seleta and Corey’s, at a baby and a bridal shower, in Kennessaw with family, a cookout with the my family, and at home visiting with Grammy.  Noah’s first two baby teeth officially popped through last Thursday and along with them, he got an ear infection in both ears.  Fun times!!!  I haven’t gotten a picture of his teeth but they sure are sharp!  Here are some other pictures to document our week.

Noah and I celebrated with Ashley at her baby shower on Saturday.  She was one of my 12 roommates from college.  Little Avery is due in June-I am so excited for her!

Here is Noah and Kole hanging out at the shower together.  Kary and I decided that bringing the little ones to showers might not be possible anymore!!!  Another cute Noah smile!

After the showers, we headed to Kennesaw to visit with Nikki, Grammy and my three nieces.  Here is Lauren posing, Reagan swinging with Noah, and Noah fascinated with Taylor.

Noah loved the swing at the park, and he also loved spending time with his Grammy.  We are so blessed by Grammy and always look forward to her visits.  (Sorry about the shadows!)

My Aunt Karen and Uncle Jerry stopped through Dacula on the way back from a trip to Myrtle Beach.  Most of my extended family lives far away, so I don’t see them that much throughout the year. I have been fortunate enough to be able to spend a lot of time with Karen and Jerry because they lived in Tennessee for many years.  They are so special to me.  I am so thankful each time I get to spend with them, and I am so excited for Noah to spend time with them too!  I love you guys!
