Noah has been doing some pretty tricky things the past couple of days.  First off, I went to get him from his nap (or should I say an attempt to nap) and he was sitting up in his crib all smiles.  When I went to pick him up, he had no diaper on!  It was just sitting next to him in his crib. Luckily no "business" had been done without the diaper on, but I am a little worried that he has already figured this out.  Below I have a picture of his next little trick.  He was in the office with David and the next thing we know he was in this position…

That is our wicker chair he is sitting under. He definitely got frustrated that he couldn’t sit all of the way up, so we had to move the chair for him.  Isn’t that the sweetest little face he is making?  After we got him out from under the chair, he decided to make his way back, but this time in a different position.  Then our dog Lucy decided to join him.  So fun!

This is just a cute shot of Noah on his 8 month old birthday!  I can’t believe it has been 8 months already.  He wouldn’t smile for me thoughemoticon

I am not quite sure how to insert videos on this blog yet, but we have a video on YouTube of him laughing.  It is about a minute long, but the laughs get better toward the end.  Hopefully I will get a tutoring lesson from one of my friends on how to do that as well as link people’s blog pages to my own.  Here is the link to the laughing baby…

Noah’s "first word" was definitely "Dada."  He said it non-stop for about 2 weeks.  Today, that favorite word made a drastic change.  He now says "Mama" all the time.  It is the coolest thing I have ever hear. I am so proud!

I have such a wonderful family!  This past weekend my mom, dad, Noah and I headed to Nashville to meet my brother Scott, his wife Abatha and their little one Nate.  David was leading worship for a SWAT weekend, so he was unable to come with us emoticon.  Scott and his family live in St. Louis, Missouri. Scott is currently getting his postdoctorate at Washington University.  He is a very smart cat!!!  Anyways, we met in Nashville to spend some quality family time together.  We had a blast!  It is great to watch Nate and Noah interact with one another.  I look forward to watching them grow-up together!

Noah and Paka in the pool.  Noah is definitely a water baby!

Mimi loves her two boys!

Nate was so sweet with Noah.  He loved hugging him and singing him "The Itsy Bitsy Spider."

This is just a random picture of Noah eating a banana.  He was definitely a mess afterwards!
