We had a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day.  My kids are so lucky to have David as their daddy.  David just wanted to relax for the day, so after we came home from church, all the boys (and Lucy) took a nice, long nap…

…which was great for me because I was able to accomplish a lot on my to-do list!

Then, we had a nice dinner with "Dad" brownies to top it off!

Noah had another little birthday celebration with some of his Foothills friends at the pool last Wednesday.   I am so thankful for our new friends from FCC.

Gavin is at such an awkward age to be outside for long periods of time.  Besides despising the car seat, Gavin doesn’t like to be hot and sweaty.  He was a trooper at the party though.  I will let you know how he does at the beach next week…

I had to document the first official time Noah was sharing with Gavin without my prompting.  We’ll see how long this lasts!!!

What a wonderful weekend we had!  My little man turned 2!  Over the past 2 years, Noah has completely changed my life.  I am so blessed that he is my son.  His sweet spirit and growing mind amaze me everyday.  He makes me a better person.  Wow, I love my little boy!

We had his Mickey Mouse birthday party on Saturday at my parents’ house.  Unfortunately, my camera cut out in the middle, so I don’t have adequate pics of all of the guests…those will come from my dad’s camera in birthday blog #2.

I had fun making the decorations and David was able to get Moonwalks for the kids.  They seemed to be a big hit!.

Morgan does an awesome job at cakes, so I assisted her in decorating Noah’s.  It turned out awesome.

This seems to be the only photo I got of the birthday boy at the party with my camera.  He was a bit hot!

On Sunday, we headed back to Seneca with Scott, Abatha, Nate and my mom.  It was really great having them visit our new home and church.  Noah and Nate had such a great time together.

Scott and "Gav" hanging out.

Nate and Noah for Noah’s birthday breakfast.  I tried to keep with the Mickey theme.

We headed to Olive Garden with Grammy and Poppy for Noah’s birthday dinner.  Of course we had a great time.

There will be more birthday stuff to come!  I love celebrating birthdays all week!

An updated blog will be coming soon after Noah’s birthday this weekend.  I can’t believe he will be two…

We had a great Memorial Day weekend!  We started off by having a pig roast with the staff at FCC.  After we left, both David and I brought up the fact that we are so blessed to be a part of the Foothills staff.  They are a great group of people.  Morgan met us at our house on Friday night and spent the majority of the weekend with us.  We had a blast hanging out with her, but unfortunately, I have no pictures documenting her visit.  I am sure she was ready to get back to a little peace and quiet!  We rounded off the weekend hanging out with the Carrs and mom and dad on the lake.  It turned out to be a perfect day!  Can’t every weekend be three days!

Noah loved riding on the jet ski!  He was very brave!!!  He could have done without the cold lake water though!

Mimi and Paka really helped out with the little ones!  We were glad they came to visit.

My boys…

Our family is headed to Gwinnett this weekend to move in the couple who is renting our house.  We are so thankful that God brought us such wonderful people to live in our home!

Between new babies, visitors to our home, and church events, we have been super busy the last couple weeks.  The boys are doing great, and we are attempting to get settled in to our new life as a family of 4.  Seneca is starting to feel more and more like home each day.  We love our church-the people, the teaching, the vision-all of it is great!

A couple of weeks ago, the boys and I went to Gwinnett to visit 3 new friends that joined the world.  There are babies everywhere.  Our first visit was to meet Owen, but, unfortunately I didn’t get a pic!  Then we went to meet Laney Kennedy and got to hang out with Chloe Mae again!

We also got to meet Riley Kate Shababy.  This was a fun visit for Noah because he got to see his little girlfriend, Hayden.

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day with David, the boys, and our parents.  The boys were dedicated, and David and his mom sang together at church.  It was perfect!

I can’t believe Gavin is 2 months old and Noah will be 2 next month! I love being their mom!

…Blogging with two kids in near impossible for me.  For those of you who check, I will post in the next couple of days…I hope!

This past weekend we headed to Greenwood, SC to celebrate Gary’s retirement from IBM.  We had a great time with family and are really excited for Gary and Rhonda (A.K.A. Poppy and Grammy/mom and dad).  Gary will be heading to the golf circuit so we are sure to see him playing with the big wigs soon!

Here is Poppy and his golf cake.

We had a great dinner in Abbeville. Gavin was able to meet a lot of his relatives for the first time.  Here is Gavin and Papaw…we also celebrated his 76th birthday!

Two of my favorite boys.  (If you notice, Gavin and Noah had on matching shirts…unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of them together!)

We have started giving the boys a bath together.  This is definitely one of my favorite parts of the evening!

My two sweet boys…Noah at 22 months and Gavin at 6 weeks!

It’s been crazy at the Odom house as you can imagine.  Many things have gone on so I attempted to include them all in one!

The Most Important Part of the Post…

Seleta and Corey are proud parents of Chloe Mae Collins!  She really is absolutely beautiful!

Here is a shot of the whole group!

Easter Sunday

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating our Savior.  Both sets of our parents came to celebrate with us.  We ate well, watched golf and relaxed…it was perfect.  Noah got the hang of hunting eggs very quickly!

Golf is in his blood!

When David was growing up, his mom made their family a bunny cake every year.  She told me how she did it and I have decided to carry on the tradition.  Not bad for the first bunny cake…

Last Minute Trip to Missouri

My mom and dad were meeting Scott, Abatha and Nate in Charleston, MO for a visit.  At first I thought it would be impossible to join them on the trip, but I decided to be spontaneous and go with them.  We had a wonderful time visiting with them.  Noah and Nate were fast friends and Gavin was a big hit!

Abatha’s family puts on a 5K race every year at their town festival.  They have a toddler race and both Noah and Nate participated.  It was too cute.  For most of the race, Noah was just distracted by all of the people cheering for them, but right at the end of race, he realized he was supposed to run and took off, waving at all of the people cheering him on.  It was priceless!!!

Birthday Week

David and the boys made the week of my birthday extra special with neat presents and a great cake.  My mom also came up to spend time with me so that was fun.  I also have the best friends in the world who sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  Thanks Morgan, Kristy, Katie, Kelly, Seleta and Kary.  Y’all are awesome!

Gavin is One Month Old!!!

April 2009April 7, 2009 2:25 am

I can’t believe 3 weeks have gone by since little Gavin joined the world.  These past weeks have definitely had there ups and downs, but I think we are settling in nicely.  Gavin is a pretty content baby for the most part-he does have a fussy period around 9 at night, but we are learning what "tricks" work with him.  We are looking forward to Easter weekend.  Our parents will join us for what I know will be an awesome service at Foothills celebrating our Savior.  I love the Spring…hopefully the weather will act like it soon!

We had a little photo shoot over the weekend.  I love my little boys!

We found another great park in downtown Clemson.  My parents joined us for a little picnic.

My little man is starting to get a double chin.  His legs are getting some chunk too.  I don’t want this stage to pass by too quickly!

March 2009March 27, 2009 1:25 am

All is well at the Odom household.  We are getting into a groove somewhat and trying to get into some kind of schedule.  David’s mom hung out with us this past week and it was great.  We found this awesome park that was recommended to us…we will be headed their often this spring and summer.

Noah really likes to "hold" Gavin.  We are still learning what the word gentle means.

Today was my first day on my own.  It actually went pretty well, but I am still trying to figure out how to entertain Noah during the times that I am feeding Gavin.  This is how Noah decided to spend his time today…

…Noah’s diaper in the toilet.  Thankfully he hasn’t learned how to flush yet!

One of our friends from our small group, Jill, has been able to take some awesome pictures of Gavin.  Here are some of our favorites.  She really has an awesome talent!
